The ISSCR welcomes abstract submissions from scientists, clinicians, and researchers in all sectors, including academia, industry, government, and education. We do not accept advertisements of commercial products or services or clinical case studies.

deadlines to note: 

  • Oral and Poster Abstract Submission opens Wednesday, 15 October 2025 and closes on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.  

  • Late-breaking Abstract Submission opens on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 and closes on Wednesday, 22 April 2026. Poster abstract submissions only. Late-breaking abstracts are not eligible for Travel or Merit awards.   

abstract fees (USD and non-refundable): 

  • Oral and Poster Abstracts: $75 USD for each submission 

  • Late-breaking Abstracts: $110 USD for each submission

  • NEW this year, we are offering 50% off abstract fee for anyone in a World Bank-identified low/low-middle income country. It will automatically adjust the pricing when you log into the abstract submission platform.

    • Submit between 15 October 2025 through 25 February 2026 to be considered for an eight (8) minute oral presentation in a concurrent track session. 

    • Abstract-selected speakers must attend ISSCR 2026 in-person.  

    • Oral submissions not accepted for an oral presentation are considered for a poster presentation.  

    • Oral abstract submissions from ISSCR student and postdoctoral members with active membership through the end of 2026 are eligible for Travel and Merit Awards. 

    • Submit between 15 October 2025 through 25 February 2026 to be considered for a poster presentation.  

    • Poster presenters must attend ISSCR 2026 in-person.   

    • To be eligible for Travel and Merit Awards, ISSCR student and postdoctoral members must have active membership through the end of 2026 and submit a poster abstract by 25 February 2026. 

    • Submit from 11  March 2026 through 22 April 2026 to be considered for a poster presentation only.  

    • Poster presenters must attend ISSCR 2026 in-person. 

    • Late-breaking abstract submissions are not eligible for Travel & Merit Awards.  

abstract guidance

    • All abstract submissions are reviewed by the ISSCR 2026 Annual Meeting Program Committee. Abstracts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected.   

    NOTE: While abstracts are reviewed for inclusion in the program, they do not undergo a formal peer-review process. Presented abstracts are included in the Program and/or Abstract Books and are citable.  

    • Submitted abstracts must adhere to the following:   

    • Include substantive results, whether experimental, calculated, or theoretical.  

    • Include experimentally derived quantitative data if the abstract topic is a commercial product. 

    • Ensure results are the work of the listed author(s). 

    NOTE: Clinical case studies will not be considered.

    • By submitting an abstract to be considered for the ISSCR Annual Meeting, the submitter agrees to:  

    • Adhere to deadlines for submission and acceptance.  

    • Ensure the presenter understands that in-person registration is required by 13 May 2026 and that deadlines must be adhered to.   

    • Pay abstract submission fee (separate from registration fee).  

  • Submitters will be asked to select the topic and concurrent track session that aligns best with their abstract content.

    • Topics include:

      • Clinical Applications 

      • Capturing Development 

      • Disease Modeling 

      • Engineering Biology 

      • Somatic Stem Cells 

      • Global Stakeholder Initiatives 

    • Abstract submission may take up to 20 minutes when materials are pre-formatted.  

    • Edits are permitted until the submission deadline of 25 February 2026. 

    • Abstract reviewers agree to protect the confidentiality of the unpublished information described in the abstracts.  

    • Abstracts will become available to meeting registrants via the abstract book PDF approximately one (1) week before the meeting. 

    • Abstracts remain under the embargo policy until the start time of the session.  

    • The ISSCR 2026 Abstract Book will be made available to the public on the Archives page after the event and on-demand content period has concluded.

    13 May 2026 – Any changes to the abstract’s presenting author must be done by this date,  

    and the new presenter must already be listed as a co-author and registered.  

    13 May 2026 – Last day a presenting author can withdraw an abstract from the program.

  • 8 April 2026 – Late-breaking abstract submission deadline 

    29 April 2026 – Notifications are sent via email.  

    13 May 2026 – Late-breaking poster presenters must accept and register. Last day to  

    change the abstract’s presenting author. The new presenter must already be listed as a co-author and registered.  

    13 May 2026 – Last day a presenting author can withdraw an abstract from the program.
